“DFLP”: Bids farewell to its martyr, Talal Abu Zarifa, the national leader and member of its political bureau in the Gaza Strip
■ The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine announced the martyrdom of comrade Talal Abu Zarifa, a member of its political bureau, the senior national leader, and a member of the National Authority for the Resistance Factions in the Gaza Strip.
Enemy aircraft targeted him in a cowardly assassination, while he was carrying out his struggle missions, stationed in Gaza City, at the head of the Democratic Front organizations and its military wing, the “Forces of the Martyr Omar Al-Qasim.”
The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation had announced from Tel Aviv in a news story that the occupation forces had acknowledged their responsibility for the assassination of Commander Talal Abu Zarifa, and described him as one of the organizers of the return marches and breaking the siege in the Gaza Strip.
He belonged to the Democratic Front since he was a student, and assumed his leadership duties in the Palestinian Democratic Youth Union (PDYU) in the Gaza Strip, and in the College of Science in Algeria, where he continued his education.
He returned to Gaza, assumed a leadership role in the Democratic Front organizations, and assumed many struggle responsibilities.
He was elected for several terms as a member of the Political Bureau of the Democratic Front, most recently in the Eighth General National Congress, which concluded its work last April.
The Israeli enemy assassinated him in a cowardly raid that targeted his headquarters in the Al-Sabra neighborhood, south of Gaza, at dawn on Monday, 5/13/2024. He was martyred immediately, and comrade Mahmoud Hamami, one of the leaders of the “Forces of the Martyr Omar Al-Qasim” (the military wing of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine), was martyred alongside him.
The martyr was born in the large city of Abasan in the Gaza Strip in 1960. He was stationed with Gaza City from the first moment of the “Al-Aqsa Flood” war at the head of the organizations of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine ■
