In this class, we will dive into the creation of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and the problems therein. We’ll learn about this history of NATO during the Cold War, and how the alliance postured itself against the USSR and the Warsaw Pact. Lastly, we will explore the history of NATO during the period of American Unipolarity in the wake of the counter-revolution in the USSR, and how NATO has exposed itself as an imperialist, pro-fascist organization.
