From Friday, June 28, to Sunday June 30, related events were held in San Diego, California.
Friday evening had a Migrants’ rights rally at the border, Saturday had workshops and a conference held against RIMPAC, the Rim of the Pacific Exercise, a large maritime military exercise held by the United States in the Pacific Ocean every two years. Sunday saw a march against RIMPAC and NATO, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
Different mass organizations, such as the allied Peruvian Chasqui (https://t.me/ThePeruvianChasqui) and Movement for Peoples Democracy (Home – Movement for Peoples Democracy (movement4peoplesdemocracy.org)), participated amongst the other groups.
Slogans against NATO and in support of Palestine were read. Support for the rights of migrants and immigrants was promoted, and the event was against the militarism and imperialism of the United States government.
Another anti-RIMPAC & anti-NATO event will be held in San Jose, California, the weekend of July 6-8.
