DAY OF THE FIGHTERS IN ZEMU – GLORY TO THE LIBERATORS!

The New Communist Party of Yugoslavia (NKPJ) and the League of Young Communists of Yugoslavia (SKOJ) congratulate the working people of Serbia, Montenegro, as well as the other Yugoslav republics, the Day of the Fighter, which is marked in memory of the decision to raise an uprising against the occupiers, which was made by the Communist Party of Yugoslavia on July 4, 1941!

This year’s Soldier’s Day was celebrated at the monument to fallen soldiers on Avijatičarski Square in Zemun, and the main organizers were SUBNOR Belgrade and SKOJ, as its collective member. On that occasion, SKOJ received a Certificate of Appreciation from SUBNOR Belgrade for its long-term contribution to preserving the memory of the partisan movement and the fight against the revision of history.

The Executive Secretary of the NKPJ and member of the Assembly of the Municipality of Zemun, Comrade Aleksandar Đenić, read the proclamation of the Central Committee of the KPJ on the uprising. Before that, in his address, he condemned the carelessness shown by the authorities in Zemun towards the culture of remembering the anti-fascist struggle, but also the active revision of history carried out by the authorities in Serbia.
