On June 30th, 2024, Gainesville, Georgia, organized its first pride event. The Party of Communists USA Henry Winston-Jesus Colon Cell and allied Peoples LGBT+ Society participated with the Rainbow Collective to host the event.
League of Young Communists USA members assisted in the event. The Stonewall Bulletin, publication of the Peoples LGBT+ Society, was distributed.
June 28th marked 55 years since the start of the Stonewall Rebellion.
On June 28th, 1969, patrons of the Stonewall Inn bravely stood up against police brutality, marking a pivotal moment in the fight for equality.
