The Party of Communists USA republishes the following statement in solidarity with the Cuban people. We recognize that a top priority of the Trump administration will be, as it was in his past administration, a campaign to destabilize and destroy the revolution in Cuba.

From the previous administration of President Donald Trump, the economic, commercial and financial measures of the blockade imposed since 1962 by the United States government against Cuba have been intensified. With the application of over 240 measures, from chapter III of the Helms Burton Law and the increasing extraterritoriality, together with the added relentless campaign of disinformation and internal destabilization, they intend to reverse our revolutionary process.
As a result of this criminal and genocidal policy, the Cuban people have suffered substantial damage to their daily lives, which has intensified as a result of the impact of the energy crisis experienced by our country, due to the financial persecution, the impossibility to acquire fuels, parts and supplies for the maintenance of our national electro-energy system. The serious damages caused to our economy by this new contingency have been doubly reinforced by the occurrence of weather events such as hurricanes Oscar and Rafael, as well as two major earthquakes in less than 15 days.
In spite of the difficult situation, the Cuban people, together with their party and government, are stoically resisting, where solidarity and resilience have prevailed together with our perseverance to recover and continue the construction of a more just, humane and solidary society. In this endeavour, we address you once again seeking your maximum solidarity efforts in the political, economic and material spheres.
Cuba will never give up and we hope to count on the accompaniment and support of all our friends so that, together with our people, we can continue the struggle for a better world which is possible. Solidarity cannot be blocked.
