Remembering the Red Flag During WW2

“And to the red banner of the glorious Motherland
We will always be wholeheartedly faithful.

Anthem of the Soviet Union

August has replaced July, the weather is summer, rain is expected, but there are many visitors in the fortress. We are photographed, asked to take a picture with the flag, everything is as usual. One group even introduced themselves as from Liepaja. “What are you doing in the fortress?” – They just brought the flag of the defenders as a symbol that the fortress does not surrender. We are glad to welcome you to the Memorial Complex!

This is what “Brest Watch” is about. Any belittling of communism is a stimulation of fascism. The restored flags over the gates of the Brest Fortress should become a symbol of the struggle against modern fascism. The “third way” [Duginism-Editor] is a deception, a disguise for fascism. Time forces us to make a choice and declare it.

TIME TO REMEMBER:

On August 1, 1914, Germany declared war on Russia.

On August 1, 1942, Switzerland closed the border for refugees – a solid wire fence.

On August 2, 1930, the first parachute landing was landed near Voronezh during the exercises of the Red Army. Airborne Forces Day. HAPPY HOLIDAY!

On August 3, 1924, Belarusian partisans attacked Stolbtsy and liberated the prison.

On August 6, 1947, at a meeting of the Politburo, the issue “On the General Economic Plan of the USSR” was discussed, in connection with which a corresponding resolution was adopted by the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) and the Council of Ministers of the USSR. In the document, the State Planning Committee of the USSR was instructed to submit by January 15, 1948 a draft of the General Economic Plan of the USSR, designed for “20 years… [and] the construction of a communist society in the USSR.” That’s how it was planned.
