{"id":7364,"date":"2026-10-19T01:22:00","date_gmt":"2026-10-19T05:22:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailyworkerusa.com\/?p=7364"},"modified":"2026-10-17T15:07:46","modified_gmt":"2026-10-17T19:07:46","slug":"fascist-ukraine-buries-nazis-with-honors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailyworkerusa.com\/index.php\/fascist-ukraine-buries-nazis-with-honors\/","title":{"rendered":"Fascist Ukraine Buries Nazis with Honors"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/usfriendsofthesovietpeople.info\/\">US Friends of the Soviet Union <br>Wire Services<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This summer, in spite of repeated calls that Ukraine is not a neo-nazi state because President Zelensky is Jewish, the fascistic Ukrainian state buried the remains of fascists and Nazi-collaborators with full state honors. On May 25, 2026, Ukraine repatriated the remains of Andriy Melnyk, one of the original founders of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN), and a man who carried out pogroms and murders of Jews and Poles, was reburied with full state honors. Later, on August 13, 2026, the remains of Yevhen Konovalets, a founder and first leader of the OUN, were reburied in Ukraine from Rotterdam, where he was killed in 1938 by Soviet intelligence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These re-internment of remains of fascist and nazi-collaborators is a spit in the face to the millions of Ukrainian workers who fought the nazis in World War II and struggled for an independent Ukraine with the Bolsheviks in the October 1917 Revolution. The fascists and their national-chauvinist collaborators frequently leave out the fact that it was Vladmir Lenin and the Bolsheviks who fought for self-determination of all people in the Russian Empire, the then \u201cprison house of nations\u201d, under the oppression of the Tzar. Ukraine was a free and prosperous nation under the Soviet Union and had its own seat at the United Nations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was the nationalist chauvinists, not the Bolsheviks, who collaborated with Imperial Germany and later western capitalists and fascists. The OUN, throughout it\u2019s entire history, carried out pogroms of Jewish, Polish, and other nationalities with the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA), executed massacres like at Babi Yar, collaborated with and fought with fascists like with the SS Division Galicia and the collaborationist <em>Schutzmannschaft<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The US Friends of the Soviet People condemns the glorification of pogromists, fascists, nazi-collaborators, murderers, and war criminals by the Ukrainian state. Ukraine today glorifies these criminals while its own citizens died in a burning trade union house in Odessa, set aflame by neo-nazis.
