To the Party Leaders and Delegates of the 16th National Congress of the PCV:
The Party of Communists USA sends our warmest fraternal greetings to the 16th National Congress of the
Communist Party of Venezuela. We support and stand in full solidarity with the Communist Party of
Venezuela and the people of Venezuela.
Venezuela has for the past few years been in the crosshairs of US-EU-NATO imperialism. The Trump
presidency pushed the situation to dangerous levels, categorizing Venezuela as one of the three members
of the so-called “Troika of Tyranny.” The current US President, Joe Biden, has done little to reverse the
tremendous damage done by brutal and illegal sanctions and the hybrid warfare unleashed on the
Venezuelan people.
The 16th National Congress takes place at a critical time for the Venezuelan people and the international
proletariat. Faced with the threats of nuclear war, environmental degradation, and political instability, the
working class must find a unified anti-imperialist voice. We must stand united against US-EU-NATO
imperialism and in solidarity with Palestine, Western Sahara, and countless other ongoing struggles
around the world.
Recent news in Latin America shows the continent putting its hopes, dreams, and aspirations once more
in various progressive social movements and political projects. It is our hope that this can ultimately
translate into real working-class power. We communists in the United States will always defend
Venezuela’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. We will always stand with the Venezuelan working class
against US-EU-NATO imperialism and aggression.
We wish the 16th National Congress of the PCV great success! We look forward to our continued work
together and to deepening our ties of friendship and solidarity.
