This class explores the true reasoning behind the Atomic Bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and debunks the narratives that the bombings were necessary, justified or excusable in any way. The class also goes over the background of World War 2 and nuclear research that led up to the atomic bombings, and it examines the aftermath of the bombings and how they changed the world forever, drawing comparisons to the present nuclear crisis.
