“Women in Revolution: From Historical Struggles to Present-Day Transformations in Latin America and the Caribbean”
We, participants of the Latin American and Caribbean Intergenerational Forum “Women in Revolution,” meeting virtually on March 7, 2026, reaffirm the profound legacy of struggle, dignity, and resistance of the women of Latin America and the Caribbean, historical protagonists of the processes of emancipation, social justice, and transformation of our peoples.
Throughout history, women have been present at every decisive moment in our struggles. From the independence movements to the revolutions and social processes of the 20th century, women have demonstrated that the fight for freedom, equality, and dignity for our peoples cannot be understood without their active and leading participation.
Today, in the 21st century, women continue to lead processes of transformation in our societies. From universities, communities, social movements, and political spaces, young and adult women continue to raise their voices against all forms of discrimination, violence, and injustice.
In this forum, we reaffirm our commitment to defending our rights, building more just and equitable societies, and strengthening women’s leadership in all spheres of social, political, cultural, and economic life in our region.
At the same time, we denounce the fact that the world is experiencing a moment of profound international tensions, marked by the resurgence of policies of domination, interventions, and aggressions that threaten the peace and sovereignty of peoples. We firmly reject all forms of imperialism that seek to impose force over the right of peoples to decide their own destiny.
The women of Latin America and the Caribbean know, from historical experience, that peace, social justice, and sovereignty are deeply connected to the dignity of our peoples. Defending peace is also a revolutionary task.
We express our strongest solidarity with women around the world who face aggression, blockades, violence, or intervention. We stand in solidarity with the women of the Palestinian people who resist with dignity the occupation and Zionist violence of the State of Israel. We also extend our solidarity with the women of Venezuela, who defend their sovereignty against external aggression, and with the women of Cuba, who continue to resist with dignity after decades of blockade and hostility.
Likewise, we symbolically embrace all women of the world who, from every corner of the planet, continue to strive for a future of justice, peace, equality, and dignity for humanity.
The women of Our America have demonstrated that they are heirs to historical struggles, but also protagonists of present and future transformations. The revolution of our time also has a woman’s face, a woman’s voice, and a woman’s hope. From this intergenerational space, we reaffirm our commitment to continue joining forces, strengthening networks of solidarity, and promoting the active participation of women in building a more just, sovereign, and peaceful world.
Because the struggle of women is also the struggle of the people, and there will be no revolution possible without the participation of women.

Foro Intergeneracional Latinoamericano y Caribeño
“Mujeres en Revolución: De las luchas históricas a las transformaciones del presente en América Latina y el Caribe”
Nosotras, participantes del Foro Intergeneracional Latinoamericano y Caribeño “Mujeres en Revolución”, reunidas de manera virtual el 7 de marzo de 2026, reafirmamos el profundo legado de lucha, dignidad y resistencia de las mujeres de América Latina y el Caribe, protagonistas históricas de los procesos de emancipación, justicia social y transformación de nuestros pueblos.
A lo largo de la historia, las mujeres han estado presentes en cada momento decisivo de nuestras luchas. Desde las gestas independentistas, hasta las revoluciones y procesos sociales del siglo XX las mujeres han demostrado que la lucha por la libertad, la igualdad y la dignidad de nuestros pueblos no puede entenderse sin su participación activa y protagónica.
Hoy, en pleno siglo XXI, las mujeres continúan liderando procesos de transformación en nuestras sociedades. Desde las universidades, las comunidades, los movimientos sociales y los espacios políticos, las mujeres jóvenes y adultas siguen levantando sus voces contra todas las formas de discriminación, violencia e injusticia.
En este foro reafirmamos nuestro compromiso con la defensa de nuestros derechos, con la construcción de sociedades más justas e igualitarias, y con el fortalecimiento del liderazgo femenino en todos los espacios de la vida social, política, cultural y económica de nuestra región.
Al mismo tiempo, denunciamos que el mundo atraviesa un momento de profundas tensiones internacionales, marcado por el resurgimiento de políticas de dominación, intervenciones y agresiones que amenazan la paz y la soberanía de los pueblos. Rechazamos firmemente toda forma del imperialismo que pretenda imponer la fuerza sobre el derecho de los pueblos a decidir su propio destino.
Las mujeres de América Latina y el Caribe sabemos, por experiencia histórica, que la paz, la justicia social y la soberanía están profundamente conectadas con la dignidad de nuestros pueblos. Defender la paz también es una tarea revolucionaria.
Expresamos nuestra más firme solidaridad con las mujeres que en distintos lugares del mundo enfrentan situaciones de agresión, bloqueo, violencia o intervención. Nos solidarizamos con las mujeres del pueblo palestino que resisten con dignidad frente a la ocupación y la violencia sionista del Estado de Israel. Extendemos también nuestra solidaridad con las mujeres de Venezuela, que defienden su soberanía frente a las agresiones externas, y con las mujeres de Cuba, que continúan resistiendo con dignidad frente a décadas de bloqueo y hostilidad.
Asimismo, abrazamos simbólicamente a todas las mujeres del mundo que, desde cualquier rincón del planeta, siguen apostando por un futuro de justicia, paz, igualdad y dignidad para la humanidad.
Las mujeres de Nuestra América hemos demostrado que son herederas de luchas históricas, pero también protagonistas de las transformaciones presentes y futuras. La revolución de nuestro tiempo también tiene rostro de mujer, voz de mujer y esperanza de mujer.
Reafirmamos, desde este espacio intergeneracional, nuestro compromiso de continuar articulando esfuerzos, fortaleciendo redes de solidaridad y promoviendo la participación activa de las mujeres en la construcción de un mundo más justo, soberano y en paz.
Porque la lucha de las mujeres es también la lucha de los pueblos, y no habrá Revolución posible sin la participación de la mujer.
