The Worker

Soviet Life Archive Now Available!

Soviet Life magazine was the result of a 1956 agreement between the Soviet Union and the United States whereby the United States allowed the Soviet Union to publish a limited-circulation magazine aimed at an American audience. The original name for Soviet Life was The USSR.

Soviet Life generally focused on topics such as culture, science, and education, giving Americans a view of day-to-day life within the first worker’s state.

You can find the archived issues of Soviet Life on the American Archive of Marxism-Leninism, a project of the Party of Communists USA, here: https://leninists.org/index.php/Soviet_Life .
